How we got started

Hi! We're Ananya and Ansel.

We're the founders of Made For Me Comics.

We are 10 and 11 years old, and we love reading comics, graphic novels, and adventure stories. We also love making our own comics.

Ever since we were really little, like 3 and 4 years old, we spent our free time drawing comic books by hand. We would take stacks of printer paper from our parents, fold them, staple them together, and create our own stories. Some were superhero adventures. Some were mysteries. Some were completely silly. We just loved creating characters and telling stories.

Over time, we created more than 1,000 hand-drawn comic pages and mini comic books.

We even sold some of our comics to other kids at school.

One day, we had an idea:

What if every kid could be the main character in their own comic?

What if a kid who loves soccer could star in an epic sports adventure?

What if a kid who loves animals could solve a mystery?

What if a kid who loves science could become an inventor?

We thought it would be amazing.

There was just one problem.

Drawing every comic by hand would take forever.

If we wanted to make comics for kids all over the world, there was no way we could draw thousands of them ourselves. We had to put that idea on pause for more than two years.

In 2025, we started looking into other businesses we could start. That's when we started exchanging ideas with AI about what business to start. That's how we found out that we could finally do the thing we couldn't do before: make comics for each kid!

We spent months brainstorming ideas, testing stories, designing characters, creating heroes, and figuring out how to make personalized comics that we would actually love and that other kids would love too.

We realized that AI could help create the artwork and stories, but not the way we wanted, not in our style, and not anything we liked.

We really had to work on it to get the images and stories that we wanted.

Now we're really happy with how the comics turn out. Every comic starts with ideas inspired by our style, what we like to read, and the things we love: graphic novels, adventure stories, superheroes, mysteries, and exciting characters.

You could say Made For Me Comics is:

Made for kids, by kids. Our ideas, our style, and our creativity brought to life with AI.
